Karson's Baby Dedication

Eph. 6:4 says we are to bring our children up “in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.”

  1. Be a Godly parent. (Parent dedication…requires getting right w/ God)
  2. Teach this child of Christ. (they will need to be saved)
  3. Keep this child in church.
  4. Love this child. (even if loving them means disciplining them/letting God discipline you!)
  5. Pray for this child.
  6. Train this child.
  7. Stay married for this child. (there are other reasons for this too, but this is a great one!)
  8. Make your home a holy place.
  9. Put away worldliness.
  10. Live a righteous life.

I like what Joshua told the children of Israel as they settled into their new home, the Promised Land.

Joshua 24:14-1514 Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served…and serve ye the LORD. 15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve… but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

I want my family to turn out right, and so, as a parent, I’m going to begin to lead them right! Giving Your Children To God is a CLAIMING of God’s plan and promises for that child’s life.

As you obey God with your life, and as you give that child back to God, you are posturing that child to receive God’s very best for his/her life.

Pr 22:6 - Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Karson Wesley Krebs was dedicated to the Lord at Benton Free Baptist Church on April 23, 2006 by his loving parents Angela and Lenny Krebs and Family! Our prayer is that he will grow up being a loving, devoted Man of God

Karson is almost three months old in this picture. Grandma Jeannine, Amy's mother-in-law, sent Karson this BUMBO to help him sit up. He did pretty good for only 3 months sitting in this. So cute!!

Kacilyn kissing her baby brother. She is sometimes a little too rough. I guess he will develop tough skin!

Later that evening, we went to visit Grandma Krebs after she got off work at Applebee's, where she is a manager, she got to spend some time rocking her precious baby Karson.
